What is the minimum amount of ink to put in an ink cup?
As a rule of thumb, we recommend that you have 30% of the ink cup filled with the pad printing ink-hardener-solvent mixture. Please note that there is a wide range of pad printing ink cups, ranging from 30mm to 201mm in size.
The minimum required ink for a 90-mm ink cup equipped pad printing machine is 50 grams. For larger cups (150 mm), we recommend mixing at least 100 grams of ink. Otherwise, the plate may not receive proper ink coverage, resulting in gaps in your prints.
